Madah Bahana Drumline says Hello to the World: We’re happy to battle!

Drumline Battle, one of two exciting new addition events held by Drum Corps International (leader in producing stadium events for the world’s most elite and exclusive marching music ensemble), is providing drumming ensembles from across the globe. It’s our pleasure, Madah Bahana Drumline University of Indonesia can participate as one of virtual competition participant.

The team members are the sequel of Thailand International Marching Band Competition project. John de Novi, Senior Director of Business Development for Drum Corps International offered a chance to join online contest after judging our drumbattle performance at TIMBC. Surely, it’s a great opportunity to spread experience into the wider world as a new adventure. There are three other teams that have selected to take part in “demonstration virtual battles”. Four teams with different background, different style of drumming will unite the world through similar instrumentation.

“We’re really proud to be the part of it. It was such an honor to compete against a very high level drumline across the globe. We are hoping that this new DCI program will bring a higher level of marching percussion activity, a positive attitude and most importantly make new friends and new connections throughout the world with a common language and passion we always love, music. This new activity also could bring a good partnership between Indonesia Drum Corps community with DCI, and of course, across the globe. Keep drumming and spread the love with your music.” Said Budi Hartanto, coach of Battery Percussion of Madah Bahana University of Indonesia.

This June, Madah Bahana Drumline submitted drumming performance video to compete with Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps. To enliven this drumline battle pre-event, we need your like button to support us. So, don’t you extremely excited to see Madah Bahana Drumline virtually head to head with USA band?
